Ages: 9 to 14
Dates: July 20 - 24, 2020
We will be staying in a rental home on Lake Secession in the town of Iva South Carolina. Transportation will be provided to and from Holly Springs, NC. Transportation will also be provided to and from Kathleen, GA as one of our instructors lives in the area. The price of the camp includes all expenses except meals and snacks on the travel days and souvenirs. The Secession Lake area provides opportunities for water activities, water fall excursions and is an excellent location for natural art explorations. We will also take a day trip to Helen, Ga for tubing if the weather is agreeable. Finn the science dog will be there too!
Many parents are concerned about enrolling children in camp this summer and it is a difficult choice. We weigh between concerns about health risks and our children's social and mental health. Our programs are designed to be a safer alternative, though no social activity is guaranteed to be safe. Our camp will be limited to 8 children. We will take daily temperatures, monitor home risks and illnesses and implement practices to reduce the spread of and contact with germs. We will practice social distancing from other groups of people and wear face masks when mandated. If NC is not in phase 2 of the COVID quarantine, participants will receive a full refund. This is a difficult choice and we all have different opinions about how we want to approach this pandemic. We take your child and family's health seriously. Participation is respectfully at your own risk and judgment.
