NC Ocean to Mountain Adventure (Full)Back to Field Trips, Camps and Adventures PageLink to Hanging Rock State ParkLink to Wilmington KOA
Our adventure will start with a marine eco exploration in Wilmington. (See the video and photos below from our past two marine adventures). We will end our week with an overnight camp out at Hanging Rock State Park where we will climb Hanging Rock Mountain. Each day between will be full of activities including kayaking, archery, fishing and field trips.
This camp will be limited to 8 children in order to minimize health risks. We will practice safe practices to reduce infectious health risks during the camp to the best of our abilities. If our state is not in phase 2 of the COVID quarantine, participants will receive a full refund.
Our loss, your gain.
Bad News: The aquarium cancelled our sleepover.
Good News: We substituted a two night Wilmington marine adventure camping trip on July 10th -12th.
The trip includes all accommodations and activities including gem mining, dinner on Friday, meals on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. We will meet at 9:00 am on Friday (bring a bagged lunch for Friday) and will return approximately at 2:00 pm on Sunday. We will be staying at the Wilmington KOA. On this field trip, we have two overlapping camps and will have about 12 children (versus 8). We will still be practicing social distancing and safe practices. Parents and siblings are welcome to join our group on this adventure for an additional fee if they provide their own transportation. Campers who do not want to participate in this part of our camp will receive a $75 refund on their previously paid camp fees. Parents must let us know if their child will not be participating in this part of our camp experience or if additional family members will be joining us by June 10th.
